100 Things To Do This Year - List 1

It is 3am and I'm feeling yucky.  Blocked sinuses, gunky breathing, coughing, watery eyes.  You know the drill.  YUCK.

Since I can't sleep and I feel horrible, I thought I'd do a check in on an exercise I did early in the year from the Amazing Biz + Life Academy's workbooks and planner for 2013.

The idea was to create a list of 100 things you'd like to do this year.  They could be anything from tiny to-do's to dreams come true.  You just had to list 100.

I got stuck at about 26 I think.  I had to sit there a while and work through the block, and them BOOM! Riding a camel popped into my head.  Naturally!  And I was off and running again!  I went above and beyond 100 things.  Some of those I will filter off into a "Bucket List" if they involve more time or money than I can spare at present.  But the exercise went so well that I had to divide my list into 'sectors' to keep my head straight.  I came out with 5 lists to work on in the areas of:

  • Me!
  • Kids!
  • Home!
  • Creativity!
  • Money!

I'm going to share the ME! list now.  I'm just curious to see what I've achieved so far.  I need a morale boost (hopefully) or a kick in the pants - possibly both!

My Week in Review

This week has been a bit quieter than its been in a long time.  I would love the productivity, but I need peace.

* Belly dancing class!
* Bought myself a coin belt and fell in love with costumes.
* Folded and sorted a ton of laundry.  Working on giving away some unnecessary items.
* Did a lot of dancing to loud music on my own!
* Made an enormous decision about how I will spend my time up until the end of this year.
* Reading
* Yoga class
* Started volunteering at school with a literacy program
* Made a decision that's making me uncomfortable and am now problem solving it.
* Had a sick little boy come home twice from school
* Food shopping
* Coffee with Jenfriend
* Had social plans fall through... So we shall reschedule and I will have a self indulgent night in be with a good book.
* Committed to taking up running...  Believe it or not!
* Found myself a too friendly virus and gave it a home for a few days... :-/
* Hot baths
* Sleeping

Emotional ups and downs... Physical ups and downs...  Wheeee...

My Magazine Article - Published!!!

Butterflies!!!

A few weeks ago my gorgeously creative friend Pepi from depepi.com told me she was starting and e-magazine and invited me to contribute an article!

WOW...  Me?  Really?

I've never identified as any kind of writer.  I hated handing in any kind of writing in school...  My blog... Well its more for me than anything else!

But, what the hell!

Despite having no clue what to do.  I told her I'd do it.

Interestingly her aim for the magazine is to promote Indie Authors, Artists and the "Indie Revolution" at large.  That scared me even more!  I'm certainly not "indie" anything in my mind!  But the first issue was dedicated to, "starting up" and "beginnings."  I figured I could work with just that topic in mind and forget all the scary stuff... :-)

So... If you want to read my article submission you shall have to go and buy Depepi Magazine!

(This is an affiliate link - just so you know! :-)

Besides my humble little article and illustration, you'll find lots more articles from amazing folks and all kinds of interesting articles from the world of Tarot and Lenormand - Pepi's passion.

In hindsight... I'm still no writer or "indie" anything... :-) But it was fun to write, and most certainly an experience I've ever had before.  And I'm all about new experiences lately! :-)  Nothing to lose, everything to gain!

May I have this dance?

  • Took 4 kids on a bus and train adventure to the park to see friends.
  • Ate tons of Indian Food with Jodie and Mike!
  • Removed the cot from the Daisybug's bedroom and replaced it with a big girl bed.
  • Gave Daisybug a nice, neat, organised and pretty bedroom!
  • Caught up on washing and some of the folding.
  • Lots of reading!
  • Posted on my Nutrimetics Facebook page
  • Defrosted the freezer.
  • Compiled this list!  Ta da!

Now, on to a new week!  May it be more productive but just as fun ask this one!  That shouldn't be hard!  The kids go back to school on Tuesday!  Happy dance time!
